The University of Caxias do Sul held a press conference this Friday morning, October 6th, to detail information about the 2nd Brazilian Graphene Fair, the 1st Advanced Materials Symposium and the 2nd Science, Technology and Innovation Exhibition , events that take place on November 13th and 14th at Gymnasium 1 of Vila Poliesportiva, on the UCS Headquarters Campus.
The information was shared by the dean of UCS, professor Gelson Leonardo Rech, by the dean of Innovation and Technological Development, professor Neide Pessin, and by researcher Diego Piazza, coordinator of UCSGRAPHENE.
UCSGRAPHENE
The second edition of the Brazilian Graphene Fair consolidates UCSGRAPHENE in the nanomaterials development ecosystem. With its origins coming from almost two decades of advanced research in the area of nanomaterials at UCS, today it stands out in Latin America as one of the main innovation ecosystems focused on the production, characterization and application of graphene.
Working collaboratively with different market sectors, it develops and produces graphene, a material capable of improving the properties of thermoplastics, rubbers, resins, lubricating oils, among others, and providing greater mechanical, thermal, tribological, chemical and bacteriostatic resistance to products with high technology applications.
The Fair will have the participation of more than 60 exhibitors, more than 20 renowned speakers and case presentations through the 1st Advanced Materials Symposium, one of the new features of this edition. More than 12 thousand visitors are expected, who will have the opportunity to learn about the countless possibilities for applying graphene and its derivatives.
The 2nd Brazilian Graphene Fair is organized by the University of Caxias do Sul, UCSGRAPHENE and ZEXTEC Nano, sponsored by SBC and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. The event is supported by the City of Caxias do Sul, InovaRS, EMBRAPII, Finep, SIMECS, Simplás, SEBRAE, Sicredi, Instituto Hercílio Randon, UCSfm, FAPERGS, SINDUSCON-RS, CRA-RS, CIC Caxias, MoBicaxias and XPlay.
