Since Friday (29/09), Praça Dante Alighieri received more than 28 thousand readers and culture lovers at the largest Literary Festival in Serra Gaúcha. 6,667 books were sold in the first weekend, which had more than 30 attractions that delighted the public.
The highlight of the fair was the chat with criminologist and writer, Ilana Casoy, mediated by journalist Marcelo Mugnol. The writer interacted with the public present despite the bad weather this Saturday (30/09). Ilana answered questions from the public about her books and the writing process, following cases that shocked the country, such as that of Suzane von Richthofen and the Nardone couple. “We cannot demonize the criminal nor sanctify the victim. Both are people, the criminal is a sick person and the victim is the one who had their right to live violated,” said Ilana.
On Sunday (01/10), Praça Dante was full of laughter, with the Creator and Creature chat, with cartoonist Carlos Henrique Iotti and actor Jonas Piccoli, who plays Radicci in the theater. The mediation was carried out by Aline Zilli, who plays Genoveva in the play that has had more than 200 performances in more than 10 years on stage.
The cartoonist entertained the audience with the stories of the most beloved character in Caxias do Sul and perhaps the world, who has been portraying the foreigners of Serra for 40 years. “Radicci is a little bit of all of us. Our parents, great-uncles, neighbors, everyone is a bit of this foreigner”, commented Iotti.
