The program for Nova Oktoberfest 2023, which takes place in Nova Petrópolis from October 6th to 15th, will feature lots of music and dancing praising Germanic culture. The event will take place on Rua Coberta in Nova Petrópolis, with free entry. The seven days of programming will feature ten dance groups, eight musical shows, six bands from Nova Petrópolis, five typical bands, three orchestras, two acoustics and much more.
The music guarantees the excitement of the New Oktoberfest. Among the confirmed attractions, highlights include Os Actuais, Sétimo Sentido, San Marino, Luiza Barbosa, Banda Rosa’s, Marcelo Serra, Grupo Blaska. The event opens up space for musicians from Nova Petrópolis, guaranteeing attractions such as Dizzy Riders, Banda Example, Saxony, Super Banda Real, Estribo de Prata and Castelu’s. The event will also feature the presence of five typical bands from Nova Petrópolis and the region.
Nova Oktoberfest will also feature the presentation of ten dance groups from Nova Petrópolis and the presence of the Wind Orchestra, the Municipal Band and the Nova Petrópolis Youth Orchestra. The Böhmerlandtanzgruppe will lead the event’s German games, with the traditional Chopp em Metro, Blinder Fritz, Hold the Caneco and Throwing Eggs to entertain the public.
Gastronomy
The New Oktoberfest will feature eight beer bars, food trucks and space for inflatable toys. The event’s program will include the Sports Walk – a charitable event in favor of the Nova Petrópolis Hospital and Volunteer Firefighters, and the Oktober Walk – participants will explore the main points of the Imperial Line on a route filled with beer and fun.
Children’s Day
On Children’s Day, October 12th, Sicredi Kids Day takes place – a day of attractions aimed at little ones, which involves the final of the Kleiner Ansager children’s competition, Meeting of Folk Dance Groups from the region’s children’s categories; participation of stilts and distribution of gifts and show with Luiza Barbosa – which opens the Noite Gaúcha program, which will also feature performances by CTG Pousada da Serra and Grupo Estribo de Prata.
Italian culture
On the first Saturday of the event, October 7th, Italian culture will have space in the Nova Oktoberfest program, providing an Italian-German immersion. The Fare Amicci dance group, the Anima D’Italia Choir and the Girotondo Group will take the stage in the afternoon to entertain the public in the Italian style of celebration.
Nova Oktoberfest 2023 is a promotion by the City of Nova Petrópolis, through the Municipal Secretariat of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, in partnership with the Böhmerland Folk Dance Association.
