Providing moments of leisure for families in Caxias do Sul is one of the objectives of the 2nd Spring Ecofest, event promoted by Caxias do Sul City Hall, through the Municipal Environment Secretariat (SEMMA). In the next weekend, September 30th and October 1stone varied educational, cultural and musical programming will be available to the community at EcoParque, in front of the Botanical Garden, in the Nossa Senhora do Rosário neighborhood.
All activities will be free and carried out from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday, also with the aim of valuing and appreciating contact with nature. The official opening of the event will take place at 2pm on Saturday (30).
SEMMA will be present with the Environmental Education sector to publicize the activities carried out until the end of the year, such as lectures, plays and registrations for the “Short Film Friends of Patas” and “Ecological Calendar 2024” competitions. In addition, Ecofest Primavera will have artistic and cultural presentations and an Adoption Fair with animals from the Municipal Kennel. On Saturday, the program ends with Godara Rock and, on Sunday, with the band Big Twins. Dogs can be adopted from 2pm to 5pm on both days. In addition to puppies, adult animals will be available that deserve a second chance. To adopt a pet, simply present an identification document with a photo and proof of current address.
For the Secretary of the Environment, João Uez, the program highlights a noble public leisure space, the EcoParque. “Activities will be available for all age groups with the aim of marking the beginning of spring and increasing the use of our EcoParque by families, a beautiful space close to nature”, he comments.
In case of rain forecast, the program will be rescheduled.
