Canoas City Hall is holding, this Saturday (23), the 361st edition of City Hall on the Street, a project that brings the services and assistance of the Municipal Administration to the city’s neighborhoods. The event takes place on Orlando Goethe Street, on the corner of Santos Dias da Silva Street, in Vila Getúlio Vargas, in the Mathias Velho neighborhood, from 9am to 12pm.
Prefeitura na Rua is an opportunity for residents to take their demands and suggestions to the mayor, secretaries and deputy mayor, in addition to learning about the City Hall’s programs and actions. To be assisted, the citizen must present a document with photo and CPF.
Canoes + Health
During the event, actions from the Canoas + Saúde program also take place, which aims to reduce the waiting time for care in the SUS. Canoeans waiting for exams, consultations and surgeries must update their demands in the Municipal Health Department (SMS) system. It is necessary to present a photo ID, updated proof of residence, SUS card and proof of medical referral (if available).

Prefeitura na Rua offers various services to residents, such as:
- CadÚnico: The Social Assistance Secretariat (SMAS) will update the CadÚnico and new registrations. It will also be possible to request a duplicate birth, marriage or death certificate, free of charge, in addition to asking questions about social programs.
- Castration registrations: The Municipal Department of Animal Welfare (SMBEA) will be on site registering people who are interested in neutering their pets. Up to five requests can be made per person.
- Maca Solidarity Café: The Movimento Ação por Canoas (Maca) will promote a solidarity coffee for people in care. 100 tokens will be distributed.
- Canoes Recycle with Us: Environmental educators from the eight recycling cooperatives in Canoas will be guiding people on the correct separation of waste and collecting electronics.
- Civil defense: Civil Defense will donate men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and footwear. There will also be a collection of donations and an exhibition of equipment to answer the population’s doubts about the organization’s activities.
- Plant seedlings: Distribution of 80 native and fruit tree seedlings, limited to one per person, by the Municipal Environment Secretariat (SMMA).
- Procon: Guidance offered to consumers by Procon Canoas.
- VANCINA: The mobile unit of the Municipal Health Department (SMS) will offer vaccination against flu and Covid-19, monovalent and bivalent.
