Goiânia – The mother of 26-year-old trancista Thaís Medeiros, Adriana Medeiros, shared through social media the daily care she takes with her daughter. The young woman receives home care after a serious allergic reaction after smelling pickled goat pepper.
“Our struggle is daily and God has blessed us and every day a new story is written. Thank you my God”, wrote Adriana. When asked what she thinks about her daughter being able to be cared for at home, Adriana says that everything is fine, despite the difficulties. “We cope, living one day at a time and doing everything we can”, she says while petting Thaís.
Birthday at home
Recently, Thaís was discharged from the hospital to spend her 26th birthday at home. On a social network, Adriana released a video of her daughter on a stretcher positioned in the family home. “We are at home with our little princess. We were discharged so she could spend her birthday with her family, with her daughters. Thank you all so much for the prayers and positivity,” she wrote.
Recovery
Thaís Medeiros fell ill during lunch at her boyfriend’s house, in February this year, after smelling pickled goat pepper. She had a serious allergic reaction. The trancist spent 20 days in an ICU in Anápolis, the city where the incident occurred, and was diagnosed with cerebral edema.
Due to the treatment, she and her family moved to Goiânia, where she is cared for by the Dr. Henrique Santillo Rehabilitation and Readaptation Center (CRER).
