The 17th Viamão Literary Fair takes place between the 20th and 24th of September, in front of the Main Church, in Praça Cônego Bernardo Machado dos Santos. With the theme “Viamão, 282 years of great stories”, the Fair has as its patron the journalist José Barrionuevo, author of the book “Viamão, 300 years”.
A resident of Viamão for over 15 years, Barrionuevo has worked in various media outlets in Rio Grande do Sul. He was press supervisor at the Legislative Assembly and one of the founders of Rádio Pampa de Jornalismo.
The attractions include many shows with local talent and big national names that should attract a large audience during the event. Among the highlights are Michel Teló, Mumuzinho and Fábio Jr.
