Luka Hein, 21 years old, is in the process of gender transition. As a teenager, she identified as a trans man and underwent gender reassignment surgery and had her breasts removed at age 16.
Now, regretful, the resident of Minnesota, in the United States, decided to sue the doctors who performed the surgery.
To DailyMail, the woman states that she discovered she was a trans person because she started consuming content from trans influencers on social media. Thus, she came to understand that she too had been born with the wrong sex.
According to her, psychological support failed and she was diagnosed with gender dysphoria and referred for surgery in the second consultation.
– I was going through the darkest and most chaotic period of my life and, instead of receiving the help I needed, these doctors turned this chaos into reality – he said.
Hein is suing a clinic in Nebraska, claiming medical negligence and seeking financial damages. She claims that the impacts and long-term consequences were not informed
The lawsuit is 28 pages long and goes until she returned to the clinic to say she was sorry and was advised to see a mental health doctor.
– I was basically left aside – lamented the young woman who already presents herself as a woman, her biological sex.
Among her main complaints are the permanent scars caused by the removal of her breasts and her voice, which was altered due to hormones.
– Doctors should not behave this way towards vulnerable children or families, period. Doctors should not mutilate and permanently disfigure children, period, without some medical necessity – said Luka Hein, who is completely against sex change procedures in children and adolescents.
