L’Occitane en Provence explores the essence of Osmanthus – an aromatic Chinese flower – in a body care line that includes four new products.
The Osmanthus line features the innovative Oil Fragrance, Bath Foam, an Ambient Diffuser Refill and the Face, Body and Hair Refreshing Spray. All products with a fruity floral fragrance in an olfactory pyramid that includes fruity top notes, with the presence of apricot, pear accord and bitter orange, floral body notes, such as Osmanthus Flower, and woody and musky base notes .
Osmanthus
Originating from the city of Guilin, China, the Osmanthus flower is an important spice for local culture, being a symbol of good luck and honor for the Chinese. Inspiration for the city’s name, which means “Osmanthus Forest”, the plant blooms in autumn, releasing its fragrance and beauty in the region when most of the flowers have already fallen and withered.
Part of Chinese tradition and culture, Osmanthus is used in cakes, teas, syrups, wines and recipes that are part of everyday life in Guilin. As it is an aromatic flower, it has also become the protagonist of fragrances and body lines.
